Disability accommodation policy

CUT prioritises support services for people with disabilities ensuring an inclusive and empowering learning environment. It offers tailored services and accommodations to ensure that students with disabilities have equal opportunities to succeed academically, socially, and personally.

University facilities and public spaces both in Limassol and Paphos are accessible for people with disabilities. Buildings are equipped with ramps and elevators which feature raised numerals and braille signage. Classrooms are inclusive and adaptable to accommodate the needs of students with disabilities. Accessible restrooms are available, along with dedicated parking spaces for students and staff with disabilities. Additionally, a number of residence halls offer adapted accommodations to students with physical disabilities.

Moreover, CUT provides subsidised housing for students with disabilities, offering accommodation at approximately 50% of the actual cost to ensure affordability and accessibility. Furthermore, the Center of Student Development supports the diverse needs of students with disabilities, ensuring they receive optimal assistance throughout their academic journey. Additional services include traffic attendants, text enlargement and translation, exam transcription, special equipment, practical exam accommodations, and individual tutoring support.
