Disability access scheme

CUT is dedicated to providing comprehensive access for people with disabilities. The action plan for equal access for persons with disabilities and persons with special educational needs highlights our commitment to promoting an inclusive and accessible working and learning environment for staff and students with disabilities and special educational needs. It focuses on promoting equality, diversity, removing barriers, and fostering a culture of respect and belonging.

The plan consists of four key goals:

  1. building an inclusive and open organizational culture,
  2. ensuring accessible, inclusive and flexible education, equal support and accessible participation,
  3. ensuring safe and accessible physical and digital infrastructures, and
  4. attracting and retaining staff with disabilities.

Furthermore, the Center of Student Development supports the diverse needs of students with disabilities providing mentoring and other targeted assistance. It offers counselling and psychotherapeutic services through individual appointments, helping students to address their challenges effectively. Additionally, CUT provides various services, including traffic attendants, text enlargement and translation, transcription for exams, special equipment, and practical accommodations for lectures and exams (e.g., extensions, ignoring spelling errors, or dedicated spaces), individual tutoring reinforcement courses and other measures  tailored to specific needs.
