Staff hunger interventions

In order to prevent hunger and strengthen food security among its community, CUT supports its staff through targeted initiatives that ensure access to affordable food options.
Through collaborations with local food businesses and arrangements facilitated via staff trade unions, CUT employees benefit from formal discount agreements (10–20%) at selected cafés and restaurants located near the University and within Limassol city centre, supporting affordable access to food for the University community.

These agreements are formally communicated to CUT staff through internal circulars and official e-mails.

These initiatives help to alleviate potential food insecurity among staff by ensuring consistent access to affordable meals and groceries. They also demonstrate CUT’s active commitment to promoting staff welfare and contributing to the UN SDG 2- Zero Hunger.
