Anti-discrimination and anti-harassment policies

CUT has adopted a robust set of policies to promote equity, safety, and inclusivity across the institution. These include the Equality Plan 2022-2024, which outlines strategic objectives to ensure equal opportunities and treatment for all members of the university community, regardless of gender, background, or identity.

Complementing this is the Equal Access Plan for Persons with Disabilities (PwD) and Persons with Special Educational Needs (PwSEN), which ensures that all students and staff benefit from accessible learning and working environments.

To foster a respectful and harassment-free campus culture, CUT has implemented a Code of Practice for Preventing and Combating Bullying, Sexual Harassment, and Harassment. This policy includes clear procedures, training, and awareness initiatives. It promotes gender equality, prohibits discrimination based on sexual orientation, and ensures immediate protection for those affected, including safeguards against retaliation.

Additionally, the Student Ombuds offers confidential and impartial support to students, handling concerns of unfair treatment or harassment and promoting fair resolutions.

These frameworks reflect CUT’s commitment to creating a safe, inclusive, and equitable academic and work environment.
