CUT has implemented a structured approach to sustainable procurement through its Green Public Procurement (GPP) Policy. The Office of Environmental Policy plays a central role in this initiative by coordinating all GPP activities within the University. Its responsibilities include receiving and reviewing procurement-related correspondence to ensure the inclusion of environmental technical specifications. When such specifications are absent, the Office recommends appropriate environmental terms for integration. Additionally, before the Tenders Committee evaluates any technical specifications for university tenders, they are forwarded to the Office of Environmental Policy for assessment and incorporation of relevant green criteria. This process ensures that CUT’s procurement practices align with its commitment to environmental sustainability.
