CUT is committed to fostering a safe, respectful, and inclusive work environment and has established internal procedures to address grievances and protect individuals who report misconduct.
The University has adopted a Code of Practice for Preventing and Combating Harassment and Sexual Harassment, which provides clear guidelines and mechanisms for reporting incidents, ensuring confidentiality and protection against any adverse consequences. This framework is designed to support staff members who may experience or witness inappropriate behaviour, including bullying, harassment, or sexual harassment, and outlines immediate protective measures for those affected.
Furthermore, disciplinary procedures for academic and teaching staff are guided by the Disciplinary Rules of the University of Cyprus, which are applied by analogy at CUT. These rules include detailed provisions for handling employment-related grievances and disciplinary matters through formal, fair, and confidential processes.
Together, these mechanisms reflect CUT’s commitment to upholding the principles of equality, dignity, and accountability in the workplace.
